I reinstalled windows and it's same. It just takes a lot of time to install things, unrar, and even when i play games its choppy. It's almost new and Prince of Persia should not be choppy. So i guess because i reinstalled maybe it's something with the hardware. What is wrong?

yeah test your ram sticks 1 by 1 with memtest86+, and also make sure you got the latest drivers for your graphics card.

Hey. As soon as i had the time i did exactly as you told me. I installed new drivers and i didn't notice a difference. The thing is i am not allowed to open my PC because is under waranty. So i took it to the people i bought it from and they tested it. They say they didn't need to do memtest on each stick individualy because doing it 4 at once is best. I also noticed that my computer is really really loud. It wasn't like that when i bought it.I left it there, for them to do some more testing i don't know. So... I trust more the people on this forum than the people who sold it to me. Biggest mistake of my life buying from there.

Can something else be causing my pc to be slow and to be louder than it should be? Thanks.

well those ppl are wrong because if u do it one by one u can find out which of the sticks are bad and which are good when u do all 4 at once u cant tell at least i dont think so right?

They say if one is wrong they change them all :S. Well that's ok i guess. And defrag. I dunno my windows was newly installed but i had some data on D. Well ill do that. But still doesn't explain why it works abnormally loud.

The problem may be, and this is a fairly long shot, that something is catching (wires for example) in a GPU/CPU/PSU fan and causing it to make more noise, and prevent it from spinning. If that happened, whatever the fan was keeping cool would then overheat and reduce performance.

Long shot I know, but possible. I know because it happened to me!

when you re-install format your harddrive and start completely fresh. Re-install all drivers and make sure there the latest certified drivers. You could tryin goin back a few versions and see if you get better performance. Make sure you've got ur chipset drivers installed as well, thats something i forget when i re-install windows and it slows down everythin. I know it can be quite a simple thing, but make sure none of ur files have viruses. No point in re-installin windows if u just gonna put the virus bak on, which ive also done. Other than that if its not workin, its very un-likely it would be a software issue, so thats wen u go bak to the store and say this computer isnt doin wat its suppoed to, fix it.

Thats wat i would do anyway :P

If it's still under warranty then you should demand a refund, what country are you in?

hmm? I'm not sure of the trade laws there. If I were you I'd forget about the warranty and just open it anyway a rig like yours should be running games like PoP no problem did they test it in the shop with you there so they can see exactly what you mean? I'd want them to test in in front of me to make sure they did it properly
