You are quite thick aren't you? Let's mention thepiratebay aloud, and what you are going to download, sheesh. Thanks for reminding me of how important is to immediatelly install anti virus software. Gonna download NOD32 from tpb right away.

FDISK /MBRCellAnimationThe bios won't recognize the disk. Is there someway to restore the MBR even though it's not being found? And it's an NTFS drive. Wasn't FDISK for drives with the FAT file system? Please tell me, because I really don't know...
Hey SI, I tried all 4 SATA ports. The bios just sits there for about a minute trying to read the drive, then reports that there nothing connected and moves on to booting the OS.Hi If it is a Sata drive, kill power to the motherboard.
Put the drive in a different Sata header and boot.
See if the drive is redetected.

Wow thats strange. Bios can see an unformatted
drive. I have never read anything about a destroyed boot
sector. So I really can't advise you. This must mean the disc no longer has hardware
identification. Are you sure this isn't mechanical failure? But let me ask you this.
Is the OS Vista? Do you have an XP CD? If you do have an XP install CD
put it in and see if it can see the drive.

Sounds like you really are in deep man...sorry to hear it. I don't kno if this will work in your scenario but I've also had the boot sector removed from my har drive before too, but this was due to user error. When I put my OS installation DVD into the DVD drive and booted from there, there was an option to repair system startup. It scanns your HD and checks for any boot errors and fixes them. I don't know if this will work in your case but it's worth a shot.
Longshot, but check your drive isn't one of these. They've had an unusually high failure rate, and it's highly possible that the sudden failure was merely coincidental with your attack. I also attributed my drive problems to something else.
Actually, I've had several boot sector viruses in the past. Hackers can ruin your bios and turn your motherboard into a paper weight as well. I'm not trying to be a smart arse by the way. This mess is my own fault for not backing up my data afterall...no hacker can do this

I have a different model. Nice of you to provide that link though. About a week ago, all of my drives were hit with a boot sector virus. Luckily, I could still do a fixboot. I should've backed up my data and reinstalled Windows then. Stupid stupid stupid.... Seriously, thanks though.Longshot, but check your drive isn't one of these.
