Bigger in size then most games i download off of steam/d2d.

Hm, I have the previous version and it's not really worth the 10Gb download... It's good, certainly an improvment over the original... but 10Gb? Bah!

Some textures really benefits, but 9gb is simply not worth the wait for this download. Those Alyx comparisons were absolute dreadful in comparison with both"HD" and Adriana Lima looking absolute creepy in the face. Lighting also seems a bit over saturated in the shots. Those Alyx models lack little details in the face which for me is much more important to tell story, like the scars on Alyx face or the sweater looking worn and torn which gives a sense of atmosphere in the Half Life setting. I totally understand why it's consider "cinematic" due to the modified configs lacks realism in real world light compared to the normal outdoor environments in HL2. Nevertheless, I much rather Half Life 2 to remain at default unless there is an mod specifically for higher texture resolutions.

yeah i used an older version of it before, it's awesome, by far the best graphics mod for any game I've played (although I just got Morrowind on Steam and I know there are good mods for that)

Some things I like about it, some i don't...the indoors for instance were pretty good already so I don't see the need for change there. The outdoor screenshots are pretty impressive. But I don't like how they made Alyx look like a whore.

I would imagine if you can run Half Life 2 Episode 2 perfectly fine, then this should be no problem. (you need to have HL2, EP1 and EP2 all installed and at least started btw).denter21
