Please don't say it's something that makes it what modern games do? Shove cutscenes in your throat. Why the hell would someone be wanting to watch cutscenes every 2 seconds and be interrupted from PLAYING all the time? If you want cutscenes then watch a movie good gosh.. Games are meant to be, you know PLAYED and not watched.

Are you serious why even comment if you have no idea what you are commenting on???? ....it would have taken you less than a minute to google this to find out what it is instead you just say something stupid,jesus, bloody gamers...

@Alienware Fan

Just use the torrent from this link http://cinematicmod.com/cinematic_mod_2013.php although it seems the torrent is only Alpha 1

The download is huge it is some where around 10GB and most of the links are from file sites like putlocker/billion uploads which are just too slow or have download limits.

Oh and a bit of advice...do not install the character replacer...the game looks beautiful but he butchered the characters to the point of stupidity so that they all look like weird plastic dolls,i personally hate them but you may like it

EDIT:

This seems like a decent link http://mirror.spiffytek.net/ext/cinematicmod.com/

It has the cinematic mod alpha12 downloads and an update to both CM alpha16 and CM alpha17..

Alpha 12 is a 12GB download you can install that and be good the newer versons are not needed unless you want the latest version but in total it is about 23 GB of downloads to get Alpha 12,16 and 17

Lol, you are ranting on the TITLE of a mod. Instead of knowning anything about what it actually does.

I'll give you a tip: it doesn't add cutscenes every 2 seconds...

Dude, what the **** are you talking about? This has nothing to do with anything, whatsoever. You might as well just start randomly talking about the weather for all the sense this makes.

In regards to downloading it, order of download doesn't matter, just as long as you have them it. It will install them in order automatically.

The latest version comes with built in options to turn off custom music, characters models and certain visual effects.

@uninspiredcup: Cry cry cry and cry some more. Seriously, what the **** this has to do with you anyways? How the **** am i supposed to know what this is and what he wants since majority of people seem to be even wanting to play stuff like DOOM nowadays with god damn aimdownsights and health regen. So how the **** am i supposed to know this guy is not wanting HL with 2 sec cutscenes? You do know that if i google everything that comes in a day, the total could be wasting several minutes of my time.

a better use of everyone's time, including yours, would be to not comment on things you have no idea about.

Saw this thread yesterday and had to give it a try. Downloaded the alpha 12 and update 17 (after I had a crash on the alpha 12 version). I'm kind of blown away by how different it feels.

I used this site to download: http://mirror.spiffytek.net/ext/cinematicmod.com/

Followed the instructions here: http://cinematicmod.com/cinematic_mod_2013.php

Basically download the installer files, unzip the RARs to a directory and install (after you have all the steam parts downloaded and ready per the instructions). It will install the main files. Then download the alpha 17 (or 16 not both, they're just different versions of the same update) unzip those RARs into a directory and copy OVER the directory the setup created.

It comes with a configuration tool for setting options and choosing whether or not to replace the character models.

Runs great for me except in areas with water (need to look at my settings, I'm sure I can improve this). And the look is night and day different.

@wg_mcfartypants:

PS. I don't own or endorse any of those links. My computer didn't catch on fire or sprout demon horns after using. Your mileage may vary.

HAHAH he will spend the time to come here and comment on something he knows nothing about but says it is a waste of time to google what he is coming here to talk about.....lol that makes perfect sense...

I guess he knew how stupid it was considering he deleted his post :P

increases the visual fidelity of the game with high res textures, and the newest source engine enhancements in all of half life 2 and its episodes. it also changes the music, and can change character models to hollywood blockbuster type characters if you want.

I think you also need alpha 1 first.

Nope. Just the latest version with the installer (12), and the latest update (17). I've been running it for a couple of days. Works great.
