I posted here rather than the HL2 board because these boards move much faster...

The point I am stuck at is when Alyx meets Eli, they talk, and then move over to the door but never get passed it. They both just stand there and wont come into the lift/elevator.

Can anyone give me a saved game file just past that point so I can keep playing?

Yeah, I have tried both of those multiple times. The game always freezes at this moment, so I can't get past this point... I need a saved game file that takes place just after this point in the game.

I think is AI disable bug ( very common with HL2). I think you must use the A.i. debug command ( google it ) bring up console and type this "ai_disabled 0"

I GOT IT .... refer to this console manual .. http://www.onlinegamecommands.com/halflife2/halflife2consolecommands.htm actually u need to select the NPC and let it go where u want ( this will trigger the next sequence :-) point ur mouse on the NPC npc_select now point ur mouse cursor where u want it to go/run and in console type : npc_go VIOLLLAAAAAAAAA .. This saved my day

in console: "map credits" whitout the " and there u go, all chapters unlocked

The problem for me is that only Eli gets on the elevator.

Go to one of the last auto saves in the chapter before (it should only be the last few seconds, the time you race dog) and play up until the part. It should work, as it worked for me.
