Half Life 2 Episode 2 Ending "spoilers"

: ( Well what a depressing ending, i had to stand there and watch as well. Jeaus, Alyx almost died AGAIN! But yeah, im looking forward to kicking that aliens ass in EP3, its gonna be an honor to get revenge for Eli's death.

Anyone else quite depressed about the ending?

Damn.......Valve are geniouses.....In my opinion that is the best ending for a shooter.

They should derect a movie or a TV Series or other stuff like that.

I was enjoying the ending of the Episode till I was like "Crap that was the end of the Episode".

But I thought it was a good ending and I will get the third Episode when it comes out.

Ya, there was all this hugging and even that snobby Doc (the guy that made the bombs, whats his name?) was bneing nice and oh happy happy joy joy.

I remember I was like "Oh crap, this is going to end badly"...the minute we stepped out of the control room and headed towards the hanger I was looking around for those damn flying cameras.

I'm not sure if I can play through it again, honestly. Just Alyx's sobbing at the end...thatgetstome. that's the closest I've come to crying while playing a game in a long time. Of course, I'm just sentimental like that.

lol, im not laughing at you, but at your hypothetical situation of your parents walking in, that would be awkward... Yeah the ending was sad though, Ever since the trailers for ep2 though I thought something would happen, with Alyx more likely though. So while I played the whole game, I was expecting something to happen. When Eli started talkin to you and then sayin he'd finish later, I just knew somethin was gonna happen

My thoughts exactly lol, i was all excited about eventually learning some information about the GMAN and then Eli dies. But i did feel sorry for Alyx as the relationship between Alyx and Eli throughout the HL2 games reall made Eli's death all the more emotional, tragic and dare i say real?
