What exactly is Gary's mod? I see alot of people have racked up alot of hours playing this on xfire.visceron
No personal experience, though I believe it's like a mod where you can basically manipulate things and create and scenes and whatnot... Or I can be completly and utterly wrong.
Thats pretty much it. You can pretty much take any object and character in the game, manipulate it, create your own hand-made weapons/vehicels, and other stuff. Its just a giant sandbox.
Garry's mod is a sandbox mod where you can use models from hl2 and build stuff. Gmod 10 is on Steam and is $10, and is worth it if you ask me. Black Mesa:Source is an upcoming mod and is a re-make of hl1 on the Source Engine. The Eternal Silence beta 2 is coming out soon, and is a very fun multiplayer game kind of similar to battlefield. An excellent mod is Fakefactory's Cinematic Mod for HL2, which basically replaces every texture in the game with new, higher resolution, crisp textures and makes the game look even more fantastic. If you have a decent rig with plenty of RAM and Video Card power, this mod is a must.

Are there any mods that fix the non-existant AI in HL:2? I think so much of this game is cool, but the stupid monsters and mindless AI enemies completely ruined my experience.
I would love a second whirl through the game if they could make smarter enemies!
