Half Life 2 question

I cant pass this one part I have been on it for 2 hours now, its where u defeat the King Antilion and you go in the base, and your friend Alien gives u Pherapod, like a little ball, and after that u go along and these to antilions come out and there is wooden sticks blocking you from going into the tunnel, and the alien keeps telling something I cant forget. So if anyone can tell me what I am supposed to do would be helpful, I am not a fan of walk throughs or someone helping me out, but in this instance I am completely clueless, its probably something easy.
