Half Life Movie Casting Suggestions

Okay people are my casting suggestions for the rumoured Half-Life movie, based on the hit PC GAME - for those trying to kick me out of the forum: The kid stays in the Forum!

1. Gordon Freeman: The Rock "Will you stand before the fury of G-man and his armies." "Yes."

Tom Cruise: "Show me the Portal!"

George Clooney: "Hi G-man.....I'm Freeman!"

2. Barney: None other than Sean Connery: The man has played a dragon for godsakes!!

Nicholas Cage: "What would you rather be doing now: stealing portals or having s**?"

3. Alyx Vance: Upcoming child actress Judy Garland.

4. Dr. Kleiner: Adam West.

5. Eli Vance. Academy Award winning Tom Hanks......"I'll see you in the Lab".

6. G-Man: Eddie Murphy: "Get yo' skinny a** in the portal."

7. Dr Magnusson in his brief appearance could be well pulled off by Cate Blanchett (And yes I do realise the accidental inneundo I have created there - I'm not taking it out - just think about it).

8. Tesla: No film since the Prestige has been complete with having Tesla and he should be played by David Bowie....I think they were married for a short period of time.

9. Nihilanth is most likely to be played by Jack Nicholson "you can't handle the portal."

Although Tommy Lee Jones may fit it as well "I don't CARE"....complete with sheriff sunglasses.

While there has also been speculation that Jessica Biel may be selected to play Nihilanth. Althought this maybe too close to her role in Seventh Heaven

Adrian Sheperd: No one else could capture the charisma like funny man Robin Williams.

Judith Mossman: Holly Valance. Enough said.

I think there should also be some cameos from the following:

1. Paris Hilton as herself as Gordon's love interest.

2. Me with Paris Hilton minus Gordon.

3. David Beckham as a Scientist.

4. Tesla as Tesla, not as David Bowie.

5. Shakira.

6. And I'm sure Posh Spice could fit in somewhere as well, probably as a Zombie.

It's tough to match a game character with an actor.... but he could play Gordon pretty well....

Who's Crispin Glover? Unless you mean Danny Glover as G-Man! Now that I would pay to see! Lousy Lethal weapon 4....biggest_loser

Would I really joke about Holly Valance as Judith Mossman? WOULD I? And believe me my friend.....Tesla is no joke!! David Bowie however...

I'd love it if the movie was in first person and in gordons perspective, anyone see the doom movie? The only good part was the part in first person.

Besides, if it was in first person, THERE'S NO CHANCE that one of my favorite mute characters will be ruined by some actor.

can't think of a full cast right now...but..Morgan Freeman as Eli is a good choice IMO.

Keanu Reeves actually talks like G-man...so if Keanu could get the voice down, then he'd be pretty good. G-mans voice is more important then looks for this movie.

But...if Keanu did it...well...I'll let the community make jokes about that lol.

My preferences:

Freeman: no one, because it should be shot in first person. Done properly, it would be awesome. Have someone who looks just like him for a mirror shot when he goes into the locker room to put his suit on, just so we know.

Everyone else: unknowns, because most Hollywood actors are mediocre.

Sweet! I'm not the only one who think's it should be shot in first person!

Also, I've noticed that, the higher a movies budget is, the less goes into the acting, yet the lower the budget, the more goes into getting the acting done right.

I was watching this movie called 'Sublime' and it wasn't that great, pretty good though, but it was really the acting that saved it, that movie had a great cast, and hardly anything in it's budget lol. That's just 1 example though.

So yeah, the best actors are usually the "unknown's" who want to get their career started, because they'll be at their prime,and they're usually the best.

Johnny Depp and Edward norton are my favorite actors though, there is NO character that they can't bring to life. Edward Nortan has been a skinhead Neo Nazi extremist, to a vegan childrens show host. Johnny Depp has been a crazy loopy druggie (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas) to the frikin' Creator of peter pan!

I'd say Edward Norton, with proper makeup, could pull off either G-man or Freeman.
