Sure did. After all this time I don't want to pay nearly full price for a small Episode. Look up EPISODES or EPISODIC CONTENT....it doesn't say every 100 years...Did people just give up on Episode 3?

So, there is a huge amount of theories going around about whether HL3 will make an appearance at the Video Game Announcements this weekend. There isn't really any official word and its all speculation, but just look at the pieces of the puzzle that have been found and then you may get a little bit excited :) So the first clue that made the HL3 fans put on their tin-foil hats was this picture that surfaced earlier in the week. http://gamingbolt.com/half-life-3-shirt-spotted-on-a-valve-employee This shirt was indeed worn by a Valve employee, and Valve has yet to say anything about it, in the past when HL3 things have been leaked or photo-shopped, Valve has quickly jumped in and told fans it wasn't real etc. This time they confirmed the existence of the shirt. The VGA's are this weekend and theres a few rumors about HL3 being announced at the VGA's. We already know they will be there to get any Portal 2 awards so Gabe will be there. Secondly this picture of the VGA's poster has a very interesting G. http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/5302/oddx.jpg This picture has been deciphered by a SPUF user who said this: "In the G I see a clock, a crowbar and 3 dots. (G for G-man, Clock for time, Crowbar for Gordon Freeman and 3 dots for HL3)" So, HL fans, put your tin-foil hats on and start making up theories :Dcreaturemagic
Thast's a real stretch.

Could be but:
- That is a very weird form for Clock Hands.... definately looks more like a crowbar.
- Why put three dots?
- The WHOLE G Letter is the same shape as the Half Life Logo (upside down)

Your missing the point that this is the symbol of the VGA's, which have nothing to do with Valve. Now if this was a Valve booth at E3, then I would be on board.

I know I know. One can dream can't they...?I'd have mixed feelings about this being a reality. I'd love HL3 to be created however we all know it's going to be a console port and this console generation simply doesn't have the hardware to do a true sequel to HL2 justice. I still remember how amazing HL2 was technically and artistically (imo of course) back in 2004. There would be too many compromises made. I'd be fine if it was announced to be coming out for next-gen consoles, however there still hasn't been any official information on even the existence of next gen consoles and I don't see them allowing Valve to do it for them.

Do we?
There would be a really massive rage if they announce Episode 3.murekkep
but wasn't it already announced like years ago? hence its vaporware status....
why would they be selling themselves just because they announce something at VGA?Valve would be selling themselves short by announcing it at the VGAs. It doesn't need them to make big news amongst gamers.

A huge highly anticipated title like HL3 being announced at the VGAs? not bloody likely. It deserves a more upsclae reveal. It would be cool alright but i doubt it will happen. We will know soon enough i guess
I don't even care anymore. It has been four years since I have even touched a Half-Life game, and I will play the new one when it's out. No need to be excited about something that is still ages away.

I think that's taking it a little bit too far but I really do hope it does get revealed in the VGA. Most likely not I'm predicting but I sure hope I'm wrong.

Wait. Hold on. Wasn't Portal 2 announced at the VGA's last year? Or am I totally insane.

I have bad news.
Know any good mental institutions in Canada?

Technically, I believe the United States has the "best" health care...as long as you can afford it. It's why rich people from around the globe fly here to get surgeries performed.[QUOTE="seanmcloughlin"][QUOTE="with_teeth26"]

This is ridiculously OTT but 'best health care' isn't 'the best treatment'. You're talking about an entire system.[QUOTE="Bruin1986"][QUOTE="seanmcloughlin"]Technically, I believe the United States has the "best" health care...as long as you can afford it. There was an article in the newspaper not long ago. I can't remember correctly but something like France or Sweden was considered best health care in the world. Could be wrong on the country but definitely in Europe.

Wouldn't surprise me tbh, though it's a difficult system to balance. Those I've had experience with - Medicare in Australia, and the NHS in the UK have their serious shortcomings. Light years ahead of the USA though in many, many respects.[QUOTE="FelipeInside"][QUOTE="skrat_01"]This is ridiculously OTT but 'best health care' isn't 'the best treatment'. Light years ahead of the USA though in many, many respects. Well I can personally vouch for Medicare here in Australia. Although it's got it's fair share of problems, a few weeks back I broke my knee (+ ligaments) so I needed a total knee reconstruction. Stupid me I didn't have private health cover (was going to sign up next year). All I can say is that the PUBLIC Hospital treated me very well, performed an excellent 5hr operation and is even following up with physio sessions and Xray. I didn't have to pay a cent (except Ambulance which is stupid expensive). This treatment, the doctor said, normally costs around $5000-$7000.I can't believe how many people discounted the the HL3 t-shirt worn by the Valve employee. Kind of a big deal, no? As an employee you wouldn't wear something that your employer may not want. If HL3 was not in the plans of getting made, would they allow their employee to perpetuate that rumor? I don't think so. So the reveal is inevitable, maybe not at the VGA's lol. I suspect it will be in a code form the way they announced Portal 2, and not at a convention though.

Selling themselves and selling themselves short are two different things.
I have always got the feeling the majority of people who really get into the VGA's, epspecially the auidence members, are not the kind of people who would even play play Half Life. I remember last year when games like Mass Effect 2, Heavy Rain, Alan Wake, Final Fantasy XIII, etc it seemed like more audience members could be clapping but when games like Call of Duty, Halo, or Red Dead Redemption were mentioned the whole place was in a standing ovation it seemed. I dont know could be me but based off of Spike TV's demographic I don't think 95% of them have even played Half Life. I know last year Portal 2's co op trailer was shown for the first time but I think Valve hope that game would do well on consoles like Left 4 Dead but obviously it did better on PC which is no surprise.
