anyone think that its bad that halo 2 for pc will only run on vista and not on XP? I mean vista has alot of driver problems with other games and sorta alot of lag ( i seen my friends pc....damn XD) but yeah, I have a vista upgradable pc. I sure wanna upgrade but not sure to upgrade for halo 2. should i?? or should I wait for better games such as crysis and unreal 3.
If you've got an ATI card, definitely upgrade. The driver problems are mostly with Nvidia, and until Nvidia gets half-decent drivers out then Open-GL based games will have various problems. Other than the Nvidia problems, Vista is a solid OS and a clear improvement over XP.
For one I am getting tired of the word lag being used to describe graphical slowdown. Lag is a term used for networking NOT when you describe processor or graphical slowdowns. Damn kids. i will make it simple so you can understand. Windows XP is dead. Move along.

Agree 100%, and from my understanding its vista only.
I don't see why you guys are so excited about the crap that is Halo.................once you waste money getting Vista just to play it and the game itself, I'm pretty sure you'll be running back to PC indigenous FPSs.
well if u've played it on the xbox then there is nothing to be exited about. Pluse once they work out the bugs and all that u can upgrade to vista and there halo 2 is sitting right in the bargin bin (i won't give into ur marketing scheme microsoft mahahaha)Â
many say Vista is a disaster, many say Vista is a huge improvement over XP... that aside, i feel ripped off for the fact i'll have to upgrade my pc, to be able to upgrade to an OS that maybe i won't like at all, just to play a game. the thought of many games being released as vista-only scare me.
Leaps and bounds better than XP? Maybe a year later, but certainly not right now. Right now it's not faster than XP, not more stable, not more compatible. The only thing it got more is GUI gimmicks.
