basicly i own it for my xbox.... but ive never played it.... i just thought it would be good as i was considering playing halo 3 when that comes out in a few days... so i thought i might buy it for my pc as i much prefer playing pc games to console games and i also wouldnt mind getting the achievements for the halo 2.

i was wondering can i play co op with people over a lan? and if you guys have any other oppions about this plan by all means voice them lol

There is no Lan coop afaik and it's a good game. YourPC could do with 2GB of ram.

2gb of RAM for halo 2? That's ridiculous. It's either that the game was badly ported, or the game was badly ported. Take your pick.

The game is a rip-off at $50, maybe when it is $10 it would be worth it.

you can expect a frame rate of over 100. The multiplayer is sweet.

Yeah, its halo 2 so its essentially a good game, but its a really bad port. The required specs are much higher than they should be for what you get, its vista only so online multiplayer numbers are even more limited than if it were on xp too, and the mouse controls are... not quite right, not sure exactly what the problem is, but it doesnt play as nicely as a pc fps should.

I bought it because im a pretty big halo fan, and it was $70 (nz) so cheap for a new pc game. If youre not sure though, its probably not worth it, wait until its cheap.

If you have it on the xbox, then I would say, play it for a week, then think about it being playen on the computer, then take your pic. Really, its not worth $50, instead, Rainbow Six Vegas is better at $20.

2GB has been the best option for years even if you use XP.

Not for a game that is over three years old it shouldn't. My 1.25gb of RAM has been able to run all the latest games(Bioshock is the latest game I've bought so far) flawlessly.

I was able to play it on a laptop that has 1GB of ram and integrated goforce 6150. 2GB is just the the best option for gaming these days.

It's a joke to release Halo2 for PC Vista after so many months/years.

MS wants to sell it using the Halo 3 hype :-/

Halo was meant to showcase the Vista features and to be the first Live enabled game. When Live launches for XP i am sure it will be compatible.

Oh okay. I thought you meant that if you didn't have 2gb of RAM the game would stutter and stall a lot.

BTW i heard from many sources that halo 2 PC is actually compatible with XP if you get a certain patch. MS just put in some security measures to make sure you have vista installed. And live is compatible with Xp too as I'm in the universe at war beta, which is live enabled and I have xp.
