Halo 2 on XP

Has there been a patch by anyone that allows XP users to play Halo 2 PC, because I really want to try it. I just don't feel like updating to Vista.Nintendo-Nerd

To answer your question yes there is an unofficial patch that allows halo 2 to be played on xp, and no its not only for the pirated versions of the game, but im not going to link to it so try googlerobo472001

is it really worth buying Vista, which MS are already getting ready to replace, just for one game?

think again - there's no advantage to getting vista, and so you might as well wait unless you fancy the hassle of some of your other games/programs not working and generally loads of hassle

Um, all those things are going to apply whether he gets Vista, or Windows 7... And MS has always replaced their OS every 2-3 years, XP was an exception...

Pigeonholing you into pirating it then, tbh, that's what I would do, I mean, you probably knew it only worked on vista when you bought it.. but hey, you bought it, so personally, I wouldn't think twice about downloading a crack/patch or whatever.

Incorrect. There is an unofficial (but perfectly legal) patch to play it on XP.

However, the original makers of it have shut their site down, and the two mirrors they had have disappeared so it is rather difficult to find now.
