Halo Fan Looking for Online FPS

Hey,

I used to have an Xbox 360, since they are unreliable, it broke, and broke again. I loved Halo 1, 2 and 3. I loved playing the last 2 online. Are there any FPS games for PC that come close to these as far as physiscs, controls, etc? I know that Halo 1 and 2 are on the PC, however, I am not sure if anyone plays them online.

I still regularly play Halo CE online all the time, it's still got a sizable number of servers. The only real problem is occasionally running into cheaters, but it's easy enough to find another server without them, and they're not much of a problem.

Is Team Fortress 2 really good? Is is really like Halo at all?

So, if you likd Halo, you like generic boring FPS right? Welcome to pc, we have real FPS that arent crap. Physics, controls etc. all SUCKED in Halo. Play any Source game, any BF game, any Unreal engine game to get blown away.Dr_Brocoli

I'd have to agree, Halo isn't the best game, it's one of the better ones out there, but it'd definitely not horrible, and I've been primarily a PC gamer for a LONG TIME.

I think if you give it a shot you'll learn to love keyboard+mouse control combo on PC. Unfortunately if you use a controller for a PC FPS you'll be at a disadvantage because mouse movements are faster and more accurate, whereas on console everyone is using a controller so the playing field is even.

I would say try COD4 online and Unreal Tournament 3, they both have different feels to them but both are excellent shooters

i dont know, i think somethin slow and boring is the name of the game here, especially since hes a halo fan. ummmm.......ummmmmmm......ummmmm. halo ce, halo 2 vista come to mind, but that wont help with real games. unreal tournament on 75% speed server would do maybe. unreal 2 multiplayer, ummm...not much else is that slow that i can think of. maybe team fortress classic

Unreal Tournament 3 is kinda like Halo. Doesn't have as much of an online community though.

I would say just buy Halo 1 and play it online. Theres actually quite a large community of players.

I like the COD series (especially 2 and 4) as well as DOD Source

Left 4 Dead is great on the pc.

Halo was an excellent game for it's time. Still better than a lot of the shooters released these days.
