Lets pretend I'm on duty....hehe.....
Lousy John Moore. Ahem.
So do you have the game yet? Were the haters and cynics wrong about this game?
emmm.. not yet for me.
Will get on Halloween.
FamiBox
What do you think you will be dressed as on Halloween.
I will either be going as John Moore, RK-Maraaa or Matthew Mcconaughey.

No offence, but why would you celebrate halloween when you live in Australia?
It shows how americanized our country has become, that holiday has no relevance here but i guess it is hard to go against the masses. I forgive you.
On topic, not happy fallout 3 day for me... I will probs pick it up later down the track when its cheap and there are mods, also funny that ps3 version actually got docked in score because of technical issues, well i lol'd.
Happy fallout 3 day.
I will say this, I was playing and my brother made the comment, "is that like oblivion only set in the future?" I nearly died of laughter :)
Anyways, good game, I liked playing in the vault and hopefully its just as great outside the vault...I'd play more, but school takes up a lot of time
oh well

Halloween has its origins in Europe, not America. Like the USA, Australia is largely of European descent, correct? And therefore shares many similar customs, correct?
edit, Anyway, I'm looking forward to playing this game. I'm just not sure when I'm going to purchase it.
Ah cheers! fantastic game so far. :)OkuLaris
What do you like about it? So its an improvement on Oblivion? (not that that would be any stretch)
The game is fantastic. I have put in a little over 8 hours and I have only did a few side quests but all of them had there surprises. There is nothing like blasting heads off. If anyone read IGN's review they mentioned that the writing was exremely good. They couldnt have said it better. Some of the things people say will have you giggling in your seat and wanting more and more. I haven't even gotten out of megaton (or made the decision to either keep it around) So i have much to do. With Fallout 3, Fable 2, Far Cry 2, and Cod5 beta I have so much gaming to do. I will get back to you when I can experience more of the game.KnifeGun
Whats the COD5 beta like so far? Are you into it much?!
Happy Fallout 3 Day! I'm personally overjoyed to say that it proved all the cynics and haters wrong on just about all counts. When I stepped outside the Vault for the first time, I got the same feeling that I got when I stepped off the boat in Morrowind for the first time. I'm willing to say that Fallout 3 is as good as Oblivion was supposed to be, possibly even better.Mediocre_man90
lol. I wonder where all those fools are that said this game would fail even before they played it.
Probably banned *cough*

Whilst multicultural Australia has largely developed its own unique cultural mix, many of its ancestors are originally convicts from England and many post WW2 refugees from Europe who maintain less in the way of tradition coming in such endeering times, the fact that i don't even know the origin or purpose of Halloween can only emphasize this point(i am of european descent myself).
In more recent times i have seen people take to this tradition, but there are very few people who actually know the reason for such a holiday apart from those educated via the media and television and with the unification of the world through media i guess it's inevitable that people would want to share in this holiday, considering it is pretty fun!
However the reason i oppose it is i don't see the point celebrating somthing that not many people know about and understand, i could also argue the point that it bears little relevance but that would make me a hypocrite as i still celebrate christmas and easter which i don't beleive in. I think ultimately it will just end up commercialised like Xmas and easter which is why people are celebrating it now.
(sorry for long response, i have been revising for english exams all week)
Im about an hour in and im definatly enjoying it so far! Much better then i expected! And 100times better then oblivion imo :P
Its not the fallout im use to, but its still got a great story, good atmosphere and the fallout humou. So so far im happy that it didnt turn out to be straight garbage like i was expecting!

didnt you completed in 15 minites like you said you do?
anyway best game so far!
It's a good game (but a bit overrated). It's a real RPG (unlike Oblivion), better than Oblivion. It's like Oblivion with guns and choices. The story is ok, but nothing special (F1 and F2 didn't have brilliant stories either). The "plot twist" is very cliche and predictable

No, I'm about 1/3 of the game I think, but I read the ending (from one of those people that played and finished the leaked 360 game)

So it actually has a character development system or can you still be everything with no minuses at the word go.

There's the karma system that Fallout 1 & 2 had ...
Got my girlfriend to pick up for me on release day, managed to get a few hours in last night. I loved the fallout games, but since I started playing mmo's I havent been able to get into SPRPGs... until now. Wow, not only does it not suck like so many predicted, I didn't want to stop playing. Infact I'd be playing now if it weren't for the fact that my food is on the way and I didn't want to start it up. The best thing for me though, is it really feels like a fallout game to me, score one for Bethesda. :D Delius
Has your GF tried the game out yet?

No, I wish though. She's not much of a gamer unfortunitly. Actually that's probably a good thing, it keeps me away from my computer, which I spent far too much time on when I was single.
