Ok on my computer the harddrive is partitioned. It has the 'System' half and the 'Data' half. The computer saves evrything to the 'System' side which means i am only able to use half of my 120gb hard drive (60gb) so what can the 'Data' side be used for as it is currently empty.

Well, that's just the name of the partitions. Generally, all partitions on Hard Drives tend to be done in NTFS in windows, so it should it work the same as your system partition, other than it doesn't contain the windows system files.
