It never was the hardest game to run. That title goes to MS Flight Simulator X. No matter how good a hardware you throw at it, you still can't max it out with solid FPS.
In terms of the best computer checker its World in Conflict benchmark, that will drop your framerate lower than any part of Crysis and in my opinion its much better optimized than Crysis. The scale of World in Conflict and Detail on that huge scale is makes it so good to test PC hardware.
^^^^ agreed i love world in conflict cause you can run it on very low with a really crappy computer and i havent seen a pc yet that can max it out in custom with every thing at the cealing and get good fps in the benchmark.
Dragon Age Origin. I feel Dawn of War 2 is harder to run well than World in Conflict (Crysis and World in Conflict are from 2007, 2008 if you count Crysis warhead and the WiCSoviet Assault).
