Played it with 2 other buddies the other day for the first time. It gives a really good first impression but...after 2 hours it was already boring. We literally just sprinted to wherever the icon on the minimap told us to go while absolutely wrecking everything in our path. Doing that for 5 levels was enough for us, was literally the exact same thing over and over.Â
Oh, and the melee really sucks...like reallllly sucks.
I tried the game and for the life of me, i don't understand what you people like about it? i felt it was very boring and repetitive, and there is kind of no point in playing because of its boring missions and it just felt very stale, all flash no substance.OwnsinWell, it's Digital Extremes, I'm not surprised. :P jk. Yeah, I don't see the appeal either but if they are enjoying it, then more power to them I guess.
[QUOTE="BPoole96"]Awesome, let me know if you want to team up some time :) Yeah man, send me an invite some time, my username on there is BPoole. Also, I'd recommend turning off Bloom as well and looking into using a SweetFX config for it.I have like 350 hours played.

And I guess that it's about time that I started learning how to use sweetfx, since everyone is always raving about it. Oh, and invite sent =)I have like 350 hours played.

I tried it for a couple of hours, but the game looks so muddy and blurry that I cant be bothered to continue. No other UE3 game looks like that, what did they do to it?Â
Disable DOF/Motion Blur and Color Correction. They make the game look awful, and should not even be included as options. The game looks gorgeous when they're disabled...I tried it for a couple of hours, but the game looks so muddy and blurry that I cant be bothered to continue. You can play solo but there is no reason why you would want to play solo over co op. It is pretty grindy but I find the gameplay and weapon/warframe selection to be diverse enough to play for several hours.is this co-op only? and is it a huge grind?

THOUGHTS...!
* Yes, I'm playing it, too. I'm at the 50 hour mark it looks like. Hit me up on Steam if you want to play: rainmaker.
* http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/07/15/ninja-bots-are-big-warframe-is-surprisingly-huge/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+rockpapershotgun%2Fsteam+%28Rock%2C+Paper%2C+Shotgun%3A+Steam+RSS%29
The article above claims that 3 million people are playing Warframe. Apparently it is one of those guilty pleasures that everybody does but nobody admits too. Kind of like listening to this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5k3_7TYwiY
* But punk boy-bands aside, a lot of the games I like(d) a lot don't make great first impressions and get sh*tty reviews -- Gotham City Impostors, Space Marine, DC Universe Online, Warframe, EyE Divine Cybermancy (nice sig Orom or whoever had the EyE sig.)Â But if you stick with them there's a lot to like.
* Warframe combines special abilities with shooting and it is awesome. One time my teammates were cleaning up some minions and I was going up against a boss who also had super abiliities and, man, i haven't felt this superheroish since squaring off with Bane in Arkham Asylum or fighting a Rikti invasion in City of Heroes. If you are a fan of comic books, action or sci-fi, you need to play this game.
* Anyone who only played one warframe or didn't level up their abilities and weapons didn't really play warframe. I think that is the case with many who say they don't like it.
* As you progress you unlock more maps. It can happen a little slowly but is likely for your own protection. They get more challenging and they are IMPRESSIVE. The maps in Warframe are huge and span inside and outside in many cases.
* You really do feel like a space ninja and the beautiful thing is, it's no gimmick, at least not on purpose. In the article above they highlight that they were going for a certain kind of combat and the space ninja thing just kind of happened on accident. But again, you're gonna feel like a space ninja.
*Spend some time leveling up your weapons and ESPECIALLY your warframe. You can combine mods into one and can completely customize your powers. It is a little daunting and confusing at first but you can always just play for free until you figure it out. Heck. You can play for free after, too. I've only spent $2.50 so far. (Tree fitty!)
*I think the maps however could maybe use some civilians for the interiors and wildlife for the exteriors. It would make it all feel more organic.
*My other complaint is that this super awesome trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2RR6KBlcs8 implies that there is some kick-ass sci-fi story going on that I am curious to learn more about. Warframe, however, delivers no actual story. But there is an implied story (which doesn't Dark Souls Demons Souls kind of do the same thing?)
*Again...rainmaker on Steam.
