Although i'm a "Hermit" I cant say PC can be included in the same way, technically it "Always wins" every year, because take this year for example we already have 3 AAA's and well endless AAs, even then so we get most of Xbox360's Exclusives the following year.
System Wars, Sheep , Lemmings , Cows , logically are just fighting for second place, but not everyone can afford a PC, so to avoid conflict, whoever wins stands by the side of the Hermits 8)Â
PC doesnt need to "win" anything.....with its constantly evolving technology, innovative software, and continous game advancements it doesn't even have to limit itself to any particular generation.
PC doesn't need to win any next-gen, PC was already "next-gen" before the term was even coined and became a tired cliched buzzword. I dont understand why people are still using the term "next-gen" when referring to 360, PS2, or Wii, its now current-gen or seventh-gen, theres nothing "next" about it anymore, how can it be "next-gen" when we've been in it for well over a year already going on two years.
Every year PC makes hardware and software advancements and increases its options and capabilities that go beyond any "gen" at the time.
How can the PC win next-gen war if it didn't even start. I don't think Sony released PS4 or Microsoft released Xbox 720. phatkav
Exactly....hell, aside from Oblivion and Unreal Engine 3 (which is only in two currently released games, one which is also on PC), many of the visual effects like directx 9 in these so called "next-gen" games were in PC games like Far Cry and Half Life 2 back in 2004.
HL2 is still waiting to get ported consoles now that systems like 360 and PS3 can handle its full effects where Xbox and PS2 last gen couldnt handle the full features of HL2.
A high end PC offers way more power then both new consoles, PC are pushing multi mega pixle display resolutions where as consols will be stuck at 1080P, The CPU power, memory, and GPU performace alraedy outclasses antyhing you find in the 360 or PS3. Then again that PC cost 4 to 5 times as much... BigD
You need a PC in the first place, might as well spend the extra $400 to make it a gaming machine :DÂ
The thing about PC Gaming is that it's an enthusiast market. The only people who are going to be deep into PC Gaming are the ones who can afford very powerful rigs that can handle the latest games.
Consoles are excellent for the large amount of people who don't want to have to worry about technical details, and who just want to get what they pay for and play their games. What's so wrong with that? Consoles and PCs cater to two different kinds of people. I like both. I have my gaming PC right beside my Xbox 360, and I play both of them regularly. Each one has pros and cons, and while the PC is always on the cutting edge of raw power, there are plenty of arguments on the Console side as well. Neither is superior to the other.
I would like to see a Pc handle Gears Of War heheotepadillaHigh-end PCs would play Gears of War without trouble. While I love the 360 and play it regularly, it is not the godly machine you seem to think it is.
I really think that the PC is doing slightly worse than the Xbox 360. This is because most of it's good games are being ported to the 360, which has had more of today's good games to start with. However, this dosen't apply to the glorious PC games of yester year.mutantfriesAnd vice versa, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Halo 3 , Fable 2 will all come to the PC.
We must not underrate the gravity of the task which lies before us or the temerity of the ordeal, to which we shall not be found unequal.  We must expect many disappointments, and many unpleasant surprises, but we may be sure that the task which we have freely accepted is one not beyond the compass and the strength of the Hermit and the PC Republic. These ports made a many sad days, and that is indeed true, but at the present time there is another note which may be present, and that is a feeling of thankfulness that, if these great trials were to come upon our platform, there is a generation of devlopers here now ready to prove themselves not unworthy of the days of yore and not unworthy of those great men, the fathers of our platform, who laid the foundations of our laws and shaped the greatness of our gaming.
This is not a question of fighting for exclusives or fighting for "pwnage". We are fighting to save the whole world from the pestilence of Sony tyranny and in defense of all that is most sacred to man. This is no war of domination or imperial aggrandizement or material gain; no war to shut any platform out of its sunlight and means of progress. It is a war, viewed in its inherent quality, to establish, on impregnable rocks, the rights of the individual, and it is a war to establish and revive the stature of man. Perhaps it might seem a paradox that a war undertaken in the name of liberty and right should require, as a necessary part of its processes, the surrender for the time being of so many of the dearly valued liberties and rights. We shall free gaming from the cold clutches firm on from the Sony empire, the question isn't when we shall win this war. It is, when. Â
I have an xbox 360 and a wii. Even with all the power PCs have, the wii has something PCs don't, and we all know what is it =D
Xbox 360 + wii = next generation bundle winner =D
Uh sorry but some people already cracked the Wiimote. Its starting to work on PC quite well now actually. We got it too. =DI have an xbox 360 and a wii. Even with all the power PCs have, the wii has something PCs don't, and we all know what is it =D

Yeah your right because when I played HL2 when it first came out there was no game even close to it and I thought that was next gen and that was like 3 years ago and most 360 and PS3 games dont even match it on the graphics side of it.PC doesnt need to "win" anything.....with its constantly evolving technology, innovative software, and continous game advancements it doesn't even have to limit itself to any particular generation.
