All i've seen so far are HORRIBLE creatures, they look completly stupid and takes away any badassery shepard might have...but I have seen great custom fems...so is this just with males or something?

I use the default male shepard.gamerguy845I agree with gamerguy - every time I run a male Shepard, I use the original BioWare designed Shep.
i like all the custom shepards i've made, but i do spend like 30-45 minutes creating each charecter...
Sounds like you aren't a good face sculptor :Pdefault Shepard is the only good looking Shepard. Everything else is ugly and needs to burn.

Well, you can't make a good face if you have crappy tools. That's honestly what I think about the character creation in Mass Effect.

Sounds like you can't work with the tools you have. I was able to create a custom male Shepard just fine. And he became even better with the higher poly count in Mass Effect 2.

Sounds like you aren't a good face sculptor :Pthe_ChEeSe_mAn2

Default Shepard is the only one that will actually look good and Unique. Its the same in Dragon Age 2 as well. The voice and facial expressions never match up quite as well unless you use default.

with_teeth26
in all fairness he looks like jean reno except with a shaved head. which hes done b4 btw. if your curious about this guy hes basically the only real actor to ever make it into a video game and ya know be "good" and get represented properly. namely he was jaque blanc in "onimusha 3: demon seige) which was available for ps2 & pc

chin and nose is totally different. Cant say I see the resemblence
First 3 are from ME1. The last is from ME2. I was unable to find better screenshots of him in ME2 unfortunately :(

I like the face on mine (from the brow to the chin), but I will concede his hair is ****. If I could go back and change it, I would. It makes his forehead seem really high and weird.
Well, this topic has inspired me to make a custom character for once.

That is what I came up with. It's rather hard to make a decent looking character, for some reason.

Agreed with the Mass Effect part; don't quite agree in Dragon Age 2's case. The default models might be the most in sync with Hawke's facial expressions, but that doesn't mean you can't make some decent characters at all.
I always make a female...her ass is too well toned to not watch for hours on end :P I usually got for a black-asian blend of features.
I did make a couple male shepard, the only one I really played with for long was in ME2 and he was "evil" aligned. He did looked pretty badass; sort of tan, with a good scruffy face, with dare I say nordic features. When the red cracks in the skin started shining through, he looked pretty epic.

My Shepard is half black, half white, half ladies man and has blue eyes... Women literally take their clothing off when he walks in the room.

Wow that actually looks good. By far the best custom male shepard i have seen.
ok...for all those who posted a custom shepard: im sorry, but I was not impressed by any, I still think they look ugly, the hair that bioware does looks really bad so it doesnt fit with any face, and the voice of shepard doesnt fit with any of the faces you posted. for example that guy "adrian shepard" looked like a russian soldier to me (really) and I just cant imagine a russian with shepard's voice.lightleggyYeah... pretty much why I just stick with default Shepard.

I think the default shep looks ugly to be honest and I've created sheps much closer to my liking. It's just a matter of taste. Btw, Dante Shepard looks awesome!
Liara? It's funny that people prefer to play the female Sheperd because they'll eventually make out with a couple of dudes and a lizardman.
Liara? Only if you made out with her in ME1 and have the DLC. So one out of...whatever ain't bad I guess? If you have a thing for blue people :).It's funny that people prefer to play the female Sheperd because they'll eventually make out with a couple of dudes and a lizardman.
Inconsistancy
You don't have to do that. It's funny that people prefer to play the female Sheperd because they'll eventually make out with a couple of dudes and a lizardman.

Aw. Awesome. I love Carson xP.
Garrus is 10 times better than Thane, Miranda and Jacob put together. I found it funny that the best romances in ME2 were with ME1 characters (Garrus and Tali). It's funny that people prefer to play the female Sheperd because they'll eventually make out with a couple of dudes and a lizardman.
