Im in the process of my first build and just ordering the parts now, now my power supply im getting is OCZ modxstream 700W, the graphics card will be Gigabyte GTX 260 super overclock, now as i understand it this card needs 2 x 6 pin connectors, the connectors listed with the power supply are thus

1x 6 pin pci-e

1x 6+2 pin pci-e

Now its a stupid question but would these facilitate this card that needs 2x6 pin ? im thinking that the 6+2 is like an 8 pin connector ? Ive never fitted a card that needed extra power, so its all new to me.

Thanks in advance

The 6 + 2 pin can be used as a 6 pin PCI-E or an 8 pin PCI-E connector. Basically, it will have 2 pins that will detach from the main connector when it is needed for a 6 pin connection.

After I learned about it, yes. Your new graphics card may be able to fit in those holes.
