Have the latest patch but....

I have the latest patch but I get such high pings when I got to play multiplayer with the game COD: World at War. It happened suddenly and I figured it meant I needed a patch. My PC is fine. It is not the problem. Is there somewhere I can go to improve my circumstance? Tweak? Join a clan? Get still another patch beyond 1.07? Constructive suggestions welcomed. Thanks.

What could I do about the "health" of my ISP? I have been having this problem for about two months with COD: World at War. I was fine and then...whamo! I got pings in the thousands. I got the latest patch and now I get a low ping of about 200. Still no good. I don't know what to do.

Well, for instance: Are you having other connection problems or is this solely in CoD? Is this a game server issue or an ISP issue that you need to tech support with? Is your firewall blocking ports needed by CoD? If you're looking for help you'll need to include some details.
