I lol'd....
Bizarrely, you'll need to log into a uPlay account and have the uPlay launcher open to run the benchmark. H.A.W.X. 2 will indeed be using Ubisoft wacky DRM scheme.Shack News

At least the game is well optimized:
1920x1080
No AA
Max Framerate: 162 FPS
Avg Framerate: 92 FPS
Max settings with tessellation enabled
I am usually the first one to laugh at anything Ubisoft do (terrible company), but in this case there may be rhyme and reason to their madness over inflicting the DRM on their benchtest.
I know in the past hackers have been able to use demo files as a guide to cracking the full game once it has been released. So it is feasible that Ubisoft have implemented the DRM on the benchtest to ensure that the benchtest will not "give anything away" to hackers.
I wasn't particularly in a hurry to download the benchmark since I have heard enough about H.A.W.X 2 to know that I should avoid it even if they put it on a steam sale for 50p.
I think it's the other way around. Without a DRM on the benchmark, when people try to crack the game, they will still have to find a way around uPlay. But now, Ubi (or whoever the devs are) basically have given game files that allow people to get though uPlay which hacker can use that as a hole to get through the DRM.I am usually the first one to laugh at anything Ubisoft do (terrible company), but in this case there may be rhyme and reason to their madness over inflicting the DRM on their benchtest.

No offence but in a pc like that, it BETTER run at the highest settings with so high fps. You can really judge a port if you are playing on the best hardware outhere because thats what gamedevelopers are doing and dont bother to optimize their games, they are like "oh, everyone has the best hardware outhere, no need to make it run better, just port it and get it over with"At least the game is well optimized:

OWNED !!!
and as for the comment, the DRM sometimes DOES interrupt gameplay, specially Ubisoft's DRM.
With AC2 and Settlers, lots of people had issues connecting to Ubisoft servers to play or load their saved games...
