I was paging through my Tiger Direct catalog when I saw this. What a deal!

Of course it was a mistake, but I called them just to make sure. They told me there was no way they could ever honor that price. :)kodex1717noooo my hopes and dreams!...oh well
couldn't someone get them on a legal loop hole?

not to sound like an a-hole, but is there anyway I could get tigerdirect to honor this? I really could use a new card :)[QUOTE="IQT786"][QUOTE="achilles614"]noooo my hopes and dreams!...oh well[QUOTE="kodex1717"]Of course it was a mistake, but I called them just to make sure. wow 2 bad its a misprintkemar7856they still issued it though, and what's in print could be interpreted as a legally binding contract.

Ummmm...No....There is a third party involved and that is the company that was hired to print the catalogue. If it's printed incorectly it is definitely NOT binding. Everyone loves to scream "false advertising" at the any mistake, fortunately laws take into account human error.
P.S.- I really wish it weren't a mistake though!

Figures haha oh well no cheap cards for us :PI believe that they have to honor it, but my situation was a little different. I went into a sprint store and I noticed that they had one of their palm pilot phones for only 60, and the other comparable were about 300. They said it was a mistake, and I wasn't going to choose it because the monthly rates for those phones are insane, but they said they would honor it but as soon as I walked away, they would take it down and wouldn't have to honor it anymore. Of course my situation was in the store. (most place, especially if you walked into the store, with a little bit of pressure they would eventually give you the deal, with a phone call they probably wouldn't care as much)

Guys, like they said, there's no way they could sell it to you at that price. The card normally costs $450, so that's nearly a four fold difference. I could see them honoring it if they printed $350, or even $300, but you can't honestly expect them to sell you it for that much, can you?
@monkeychris: Taking a loss on hardware is part of the cellphone business; that's why they have you sign a two or three year contract. They make up for the price of the handset in a few months in most cases. With Tiger Direct, the hardware is the only way they make money off of you. They might as well burn 3/4 of the money they make off every transaction if they honor this price.
@artiedeadat40: Actually, they aren't legally required to sell anything to you. That's why it's called honoring the price.
