This is the only thing that keeps me from buying ATI. One of my computers has a X1900GT and another with a HD2900XT. I used to also own a 9800PRO. The drivers are what keeps me away from ATI and why I will never buy an ATI card no matter how much better it is.
If ATI would fix their drivers I would be glad to switch.
His progblem was that he didnt uninstall the old drivers before he installed the new driver. You're supposed to do that no matter what GPU brand you have. This is the only thing that keeps me from buying ATI. One of my computers has a X1900GT and another with a HD2900XT. Funny that.
NVIDIA is just as bad, if not worse, at releasing questionable drivers. However, this didn't stop me from buying an 8600GT for my office PC. :/
I mean everytime I installed a driver from ATI. Well almost everytime. I would get some kind of error in the middle of the darn thing. With Nvidia I have yet to have a problem with them. I do own 3 Nvidia Cards and 2 ATI cards. baddogjmh
That's odd....I've never had a problem with ATI's drivers. :D
