First of all, some info about my PC: PCU : E8500 3.16 GHZ (not overcloak) Video Card: ATI HD 4870X2 monitor : samsung 2463UW -- 24" OCZ reaper - 4go DDR3 Well, I don't know much about benchmarks and FPS, but I know there is something not normal about my gaming experience into Call of Duty : World at War. I am player with everything maxed up : AA 4X, AF 16X and rez - 1920 X 1200. I am runnign it at 91, nothing bad about that, this is the same thing as in benchmarks reviews. But it is when i tryed to reach my max FPS I saw i was topping 91 in any case. So what I tryed? I only put my gaphics to LOW, disabled AA and AF, and use 1024 X 768 as my resolution. I was surprised that I was still runing at 91 with some low drop at 85 - 80, just like if nothing changed at all. So are somone of you guys know what happen? Or did it happen to someone else? Thanks a lot! Dyno (PS: forgive my poor english, this is not my native language).

The game might be set only to peak at 91. I have a 4830 and get 30 fps maxed at 1600x1050

Go to the Catalyst control center, see if something is amiss.

what is the point of having over 75fps? If your monitor has a 75hz refresh rate, then you will just get an insane amount of tearing... I don't understand people now-a-days

There are no tearing mate. And the idea to have more than 100-150 fps is to envisage any fps drop. So you never drop under 60. For someone who want to still nonstop fragging in a game it is a must.

With my system, I have it locked to 60. It stays at 60 all of the time, so there would be no point to letting it get up to 200 or whatever. Having a high FPS doesn't give you more overhead to avoid drops, having a system capable of said high FPS is what provides the overhead room.

To make their e peen bigger.

Because more frame rates in video games = more women.
