hd 6990 reviewed! STRONG AND POWERFUL!

time for my friend the dual gpu amd review.. this ahs been a LONG time coming.. time to see if amd can give up the goods

benchmark:

in 3d mark vanatge she comes up and sits RIGHT NEXT to dual hd 6970's :o in preformance and extreme tests losing by roughly only 200 points (in its 2nd bios mode)

in unigine ehaven 2.1 we see it actually beat cfx 6970's at 1080p and maintain its shadowing of the 6970's at 2560 x 1600 and nearly laps the 580 running at +1000 points more

gaming:

the 6990 in bfbc2 matches twin 6970's almsot seamless ly coming within 3fps at 1080p anf 5fps at 2560 x 1600

crysis: at 1080p the 6990 does it again beating the twi 6970's by 1 fps and then loses to the 6970 pair by old half an fps at 2560

overclocking isnt all that its cracked up to be but when your easily doing 1.5-1.75 times a gtx 580 do you even HAVE a reason to complain? i mean your getting 48+ fps in metro 2033 maxed out @ 1080p thats no small task.

its clear the 6990 is a pwoerhouse.. if the 590 falters for even a second the 6990 will be all over it like fat kid on a cupcake.

they get pretty close actually.. they ebat out tri sli 580's nicely.. and quad 570's without too mcuh problem. if the 590 is dual 570 cores.. exapect this show to be over quick and the nvidia dual gpu will be sort of defeated..

and we will know that answer.. in less than 10 days :o

600 bucks for a gpu.. thats nothing.. i remember when the hd 5970 launched at that price.. alone.. for like months it was $700

How well does everyone think the GTX 590 will hold up? I'm waiting for it to come out now as it could be my next card if its lives up to the hype.
