So I play the PS3 but sometimes the fine print I need to see for game instructions...I can't really see. My TV was made 10 years ago. So can someone tell me if I hook up some HDMI to this sucker it will help me see better?

No, assuming you have an old sd tube (you said it's blurry).

Ok thanks. Maybe if I adjust the brightness I could do better.

Brightness won't help, you need more contrats, but really you need a new TV or even just a monitor for the PS3, you won't ever go back.

Majority of PS3 games are designed for HDTVs in mind and don't scale very well to SD resolutions.

Ah yes, good old contrast. I will heed your advice.

If you are still on a full screen TV, there are no settings you can adjust to make it look better; trust me I know. Just by switching to a wide screen TV you will be able to see in-game instructions a lot better, if you further upgrade to HD you will be able to tell a more significant difference in legibility and picture quality.

I don't think HDTV's where around ten years ago. If you're TV is small then ur gonna have it hard to see text, especially on smaller SD Tv's. Nowadays it's good to get atleast 32" or bigger LCD. or a 42" Plasma. LCD's & Plasma's are dirt cheap now new. You should think about saving up and getting one. And to answer the topics title. Yes HD = Better.
