HDMI to DVI - can it still transmit sound?

May sound like a silly question, but can this type of cable transmit sound ? Basically I want to hook my Xbox360 to my PC monitor. My monitor only has 1xHDMI port, 1xDVI port. Currently my PC is going through the HDMI port, so if I hook up my XBox to the DVI port, using HDMI to DVI cable, would I still get sound ?

Sadly no, DVI only does video, not audio.
