if the rgb cables are good, then no, not really. quality is one thing, but dvd upconversion and hdcp are not supported nor permitted on rgb. So for example once hd-dvd and blu-ray start implementing their securities you won't be able to watch the content over rgb @ 1080p.

You won't be able to watch 720p or 1080i let alone 1080p over component if that image contstraint token is used on movies, it doesn't just remove 1080p, it will limit you to 540p at the most.
Depends on what RGB you are talking about. VGA is left out of that whole strange HDCP deal. If your talking about component (seudo RGB) Then, yeah that's limited in resolution.
You are probably wondering about the difference betwen the VGA and HDMI inputs on a 360, right? You won't see much advantage going to HDMI unless your TV doesn't have VGA. Even component looks about the same as HDMI.
