Sennheiser or Klipsch headphones. Not cheap, but very good.

I have a pair of the Bose Triport ($100-$130 US), and I like them pretty well (not just for gaming, but other applications)

Likewise. $10 after a MIR from buy.com back in december or so. At that price point, it's really hard to beat... I'm using an audigy 2, and i had a hard time justifying another $90 for Grado or Sennheiser cans when I just generally play games.

ah, but the taxes are paying for your free healthcare or something, so no worries. :) IIRC it was $50 retail at the time, actually.. but $50 - $20 Google Checkout discount - $20 mail-in rebate (that I just received in the mail) + free shipping = $10... something like $13 after sales tax off $30.

i love my Zalmans Surround 6, but Klipsh and Seinheiser are better and those are what i am gonna upgrade too. There is also Steel Pad and Ice Mat headphones.

My Zalmans sound great, the bass problem with them is fixed from the Creative Console. I think there great for $50, infact reviews say the only bad thing is the bass problem.  I will step up to a $100-$150 pair of Seinheisers forsure next time tho.
