I am usually deep in the PC hardware forum, but this question seems to be appropriate as a "general hardware" question. I live in a college dorm, but I love quality sound from my PC. I usually have a Dolby digital system connected to my computer, and I will soon be getting a new sound card. Anyway, as a person that has to share a room, having a 5 piece speaker system is just NOT an option. I was thinking an awesome pair of headphones might do the trick. I don't know much about whats on the market in terms of headphones, so maybe someone can help me out. Is there a such thing as "digital" headphones that have a "surround sound" feel to them? When I search google, I usually just find Bose listings, and their site just lists all the "OMG AMAZING!" professional reviews. Anyone have any suggestions? I think I would prefer the headphones to be noise-canceling as well, but opinions are gladly accepted.

Even though my ear condition no longer allows me to use headphones, around 6 months ago I had a few great pairs.

The Bose WAS NOT one of them. Please don't waste your money.

Pick up a pair Sennheiser HD 280 phones instead. Far better for around $75. And they isolate better than anything else.

I have a pair of Tritton Ax360 headphones - they are quite versatile if that's what you're looking for.
