I'm looking forrelativelygood earphones, no more then $30. I need something to replace the ipod headphones, and don't want anything that breaks easily. All my past headphones end up breaking on one side or another ( as in no more voice comes out ) or the voice becomes distorted from one side. I also want something that's comfortable and offers nice base. The music that takes up the majority of my library is hip-hop/rap. So a very nice base would be nice. Any suggestions, my friend suggested the Koss KEB24.

Koss are highly rated for the cheap value stuff though i'm not sure how good they are for IEMs, it's the Koss PortaPro that they're really known for.

For in-ears SoundMagic is where i'ld first look, the PL30s and PL50s are both great value for money, SoundMagic are actually OEM for a bunch of other companies and so offer great value, i think you'll get them cheapest if you import them from Hong Kong using Ebay. Sennheiser CX300 are an obvious recommendation, pretty much every where you look these are the most popular good value buds there are. If you specifically want buds (can be lacking in bass but you can get covers to turn them into hybrids) and not hybrids or canals Yuin does the best buds you can get and i think their PK3s may just fall into your budget.

If you can stretch your budget to $50 Klipsch's range highly awarded range starts to become available, they always get really great review and have won multiple value and general sound quality awards.

I might be able to. If i can the question is Klipsch's S2 vs Razer's Moray + . If i can't the question is basically Koss KEB24 or the 20-25$ Skullcandy ink'd. Bass is an issue here, i love bass because it's sounds extremely good in Rap/Hip Hop songs. Plus i'll be using these when working out, so i need something that can withstand a little bit of length.

Obviously the Klispch are better than the Razers, all of Razer's gear is overpriced, their mice are only worth it because they offer the best you can get. Skullcandies are made by other manufacturers the just resprayed in bright colour, for that they heavily increase the price. Out of all of them i'ld go for the SoundMagic PL30s which fit in just under your $30 budget.

The PL30s have adjustable bass so it's really up to you.

Well quality wise you'll get better with the Soundmagics than the Skullcandies, not sure about those Koss though

Some places such as headroom do do frequency response tests and provide graphs on their site. Though the ear's response is not linear and a lot of people prefer a coloured sound to a flat response. THD and SNR can give you the quality on flat response products (usually labelled as professional studio headphones) but on any coloured sound they're useless. The only way to truly know which you prefer is to try them out.

I don't really want to pay like 20-30$ and not like it. I tried the KOSS ones and i like them i just wish they had a little bit more bass.
