They changed few stuff from the previous game I think.
You can check their website about more details.

im willing to try it i guess theirs nothing to loose i used to think this game looked interesting before all the negativity about itSaintJimmmy
the negative criticism of the game was completely unwarranted. It is a great action-RPG that was a ton of fun to play on- and off-line. The classes were cool and unique, with various skillsets, and enemies were abundant and fun to kill.
outside of a few bugged quests, I did not see anything wrong with it.
can't wait for it to go online again
I've been wanting to try out Hellgate London for the longest time. Looks like this is my chance.Elann2008
it really is a fun game; just loads of mindless zombie and demon-killing fun. It's reallygood for when something like The Witcher 2 might be a little too heavy/serious for your RPG fix, and you don't feel like fragging folk's in Team Fortress 2 but still want to go online and break stuff :P
[QUOTE="mrbojangles25"]I am legit user, why would I post fake link?!anyone try the link yet? Is it legit?

I am sure you are, and dont take this wrong, but I just dont take anyone's word for it when their post count is under 300.
Thats not elitism, I've just seen too many people get virsuses that way from people that spam. Even if you had 20k posts, I'd still wait for a second (and third) opinion from another Gamespotter.
Like I said, not trying to be mean or anything...just being cautious. I am 99% sure you are a good, trustworthy person, but I am not willing to risk that 1% for a video game. I've amassed quite a good collection of porn over the years and would hate to see it wiped out :P
Awesome, I always wanted to try this. Since the game bombed, I never ended up playing it before.MyopicCanadian
yeah, definitely one of the bigger tragedies in gaming history, sort of.
I tried the closed beta and it was the hellgate we know... Except for a translation that was done by a third grader and has a cash shop.

Sounds like my kinda game. I'm going to download it tonight and wait for the 30th of June. :)[QUOTE="mrbojangles25"][QUOTE="Elann2008"]I've been wanting to try out Hellgate London for the longest time. Looks like this is my chance.Elann2008

Sounds like my kinda game. I'm going to download it tonight and wait for the 30th of June. :) Not to resurrect an old thread, but Hellgate has been in open beta for about a month now. I was wondering if the game will eventually have incentives or bonuses for people who bought the original game way back when, similar to games like Global Agenda or TF2. I still have my Lava Red dye from my preorder :).One other question, I haven't played the game in years, and the itch has all of a sudden returned. Is it possible to update this game? I thought they took down all their online stuff when Flagship went kaput.

This is both troubling and positive. Was it a conscious decision to leave the game as close to the original as possible? Or is the lack of change due to the developers having few resources to implement large changes?

The first one. Despite Flagship tanking, Hellgate was quite popular overseas. It was too late for them to really capitalize on it.[QUOTE="SaintJimmmy"]im willing to try it i guess theirs nothing to loose i used to think this game looked interesting before all the negativity about itmrbojangles25

I couldn't agree more. I greatly enjoyed the game. I loved the dark environment, and I remember the enemies being varied.

I have my old boxed copy that I'm thinking of reinstalling. Is it possible to update this game to the latest version before Flagship tanked? I think it had the Stonehenge content or even something after that.[QUOTE="iagbas"][QUOTE="guildclaws"]They resurected it.Is it free? It is free to play until certain Act. After that you have to buy ticket to continue forward. The game wasnt a bad game..What killed hellgates momentum out the gate..Was bill ropper getting greedy and going the mmorpg road..Its not a mmorpg its a single player game..He thought he can change the minds of consumers..It sort of back fired on him..People went nuts..Some people payed 100 bucks for the life time subscription also..Than a few days later he pulled the plug..Guess he didnt get enough people buying into the mmorpg part of what he wasnted..Cant have a hack and slash type game a mmorpg..Only one that can possibly get away with it is blizzard..Diablo 3 people may pay for if its warrented...If its got like dlc updated items, so forth..Keep giving updates every 3 months show that peoples money is being used to put back into the game..Guess thats what bill wanted to do..The community just didnt want this type of service and i cant blame them in a way for that..Hellgate shouldve been expansion packs and maybe dlc people wouldve bought..He had a great idea that got killed bye this concept shame isnt it..Ill download it..Enjoyed the game back when it first came out..Its just collecting dust atm..
