Change mobo to Asrock z77 extreme 6, will you use this PC for anything other than games? if no, get the 3570k or 2500k.

What PSU's can you choose from?

2 4GB's are better.

The PSU needs to have enough power, it doesn't have to specifically "support" SLI or CF as there's nothing to be changed in the PSU for it to "support" them. It needs to have enough 6-PIN connectors or 4PIN connectors, depending on the cards you'll use, 2 for each card.

And since two 6870s will use about 460 Watts, and you need 200-300 for the rest, go for a 750W PSU. These things last for years and can be carried on to a new system so don't be afraid of leaving some headroom.

Yes my PSU can easily do crossfire 6870's, mine is running 2 very power hungry cards, the 8800GTS (512) and the GTX470. 2 6870's is easy, The motherboard is good but its a little outdated now, its a p67 chipset. Are there any z77 chipsets in the shop? it will say in the name.

I recommend a new monitor with a resolution of 1920x1080 or higher.
