I just got nvidia geforce 7600gs. When i start upp a game i works perfectly fine but after a while everything starts lagging, ive tried diffrent games and the same thing happens. I've installed and reinstalled new and old drivers!

I did not have this proble with my geforce 6600..

My specs are: AMD Athlon 3500+, 2,20 GHZ , 1gb ram, Nvidia geforce 7600gs 256mb.

Games ive tried it on: Hitman Blood money, Splinter cell double agent, oblivion elder scrolls, battlefield 2 and battlefield 2142.

What setting are you using?

Try turning off AA or soft shadows as these hit performance pretty hard.

Alternatively it could be a heat issue, although this doesn't seem too likely. Can you monitor what temps your card is reaching?

Are you using AGP or PCI-Express ? I have heard that the AGP version of the 7600GS has a poor reference heatsink/fan and the bridge chip causes it to produce extra heat.

I use PCI-Express. The bridge chip is the metal thing that connects an other card if you want SLi, right?

No. The bridge chip is only used in the AGP version of the 7600GS and translates the PCI-E signal outputted from the card into an AGP signal so that it can be used in AGP motherboards.
