HELP i keep losing large ammounts of HD space for no reason

ok i'll give you an example, I had 38.6 before installing empire earth, then when i uninstalled empire earth like an hour later i had 38.1 even though i uninstalled it! and so i am defragmenting but so far during defrag i have lost a further 0.2 gigabytes... at this rate my computer is going to be out of disk space in a very short ammount of time. help me please and tell me what going on... any help would be appreciated

Hey man windows is creating System Restore Points when you install or unistall a program.

If you want to remove the files goto Disk Cleanup & then Clear System Restore Points .

And delete Temp files.(In search type  *.tmp & then search.Make sure to chose for look in hidden files)

Try using disk cleanup. Open "My Computer". Right-click on the hard drive that's running out of space and choose "Properties". Click on "Disk Cleanup". From there check the things you don't need and let the system clean itself up a little.

thanks i deleted the system restore files and that gave me back 6 gigabytes
