Stuff I like:
Games where your character develops (leveling or some s*** i.e. spore and fable)
Sandbox games (GMod)
Physics based games (again, GMod)
Large freeroaming games (oblivion and fallout 3)
I'd appreciate any and all suggestions!

sounds like the witcher would be perfect for you, guild wars is actually a really good rpg with mmo elements and co-op built in as well.
I hear league of legends is alot like the dota mod for warcraft 3, and is awesome beyond what most paid for games can offer.Could try League of Legends, its free. Its not everyone's cup of tea though, but from what I heard they just put in the new ranking system, could be something to check out.

Command and Conquer Zero Hour is fun, especially with cheats. Still play it when i need a good laugh

Have you played dragon age? Its not completely free roam but it has alot of freedom. Gameplay is similar to baldurs gate, but not quite so deep. Risen is good, similar to the gothic games.
The Witcher. Its a good game and some of the dialogue is a giggle (for the wrong reasons). Dark Messiah is good if you like hack n slash and uses the source engine (Gmod). Red Faction Guerrilla is good for anyone that like bowin' **it up. Mass Effect and Crysis are almost essential to try.

For character development I'd say Mass Effect 1 and 2, since it wasn't yet suggested, but you probably finished them both. I'd also add Alpha Protocol here as well, but beware because it is a hate it or love it game really.
For games based on physics I'd say World of Goo (best indie made in year if you ask me) and Trine (again an extremely pretty an funny game).
- The Witcher (best rpg this gen imo)
- Dragon Age (another awesome rpg)
- Risen (RPG with tons of places to explore, huge game world)
- Alpha Protocol (another rpg with shooting and stealth elements)
- ARMA2 (its a shoote rbut very realistic and open world, tons to explore)
Does the Witcher get better? I played for about an hour and wasn't very impressed... Did not draw me in at all, and the twitchy combat wasn't all that fun either.
My Steam profile says I got in 3.3 hours before I quit. I don't know, but it didn't get much better for me.Does the Witcher get better? I played for about an hour and wasn't very impressed... Did not draw me in at all, and the twitchy combat wasn't all that fun either.
