Help is vista underclocking my hardware?

here are two shots of cpu-z i am running vista ultimate 64bit 4gb of ddr2 800 ram and it says my c2q q9450 is running at only 2ghz instead of 2.66

the power saving mode is in your BIOS, thats unless its a laptop.

Everything is normal. The first screen shot is just a list of the timings supported by your ram. You need to look at the Memory tab to see what speed your ram is running at. as for the slower clock speed that has to do with power savvying the CPU multiplier changes depending on CPU usage, so in your CPU'scase it would jump between 333 x 6 and 333 x 8 or 2000 and 2664.

Go into the bios and disable the C1 Enhanced HALT.
