My first problem is that the Logitech Profiler is not able to find the Left 4 Dead 2 Game and I don't know why.

My second problem is that I don't really know how to get the controls to work for the game from the controller. I've tried it on a retro game, such as castlevania and I can get the guy to attack and jump just fine. I can move the guy left and right and crouch, but when I try to move left to right, he just looks like he's having a spaz attack. He moves left to right, just not very fast compared to when you just use the arrow keys. And I can get the guy to crouch, but when he crouches he stays crouching and doesn't do anything else, and you can't get him to do anything until you die.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't really understand what's your problem but you can try Xpadder (which binds controller buttons to keystrokes or mouseclicks) x360ce which emulates a 360 controller

What I really can't understand is why you want to use a controller in an FPS.

A controller is a terrible idea for L4D. It would be so hard to play hunter.

Left4dead has controller support so you shouldnt have to use a profiler. Just go into the game menu and enable gampad. You might need to map the buttons. Just make sure its turned on before you start the game.

The spas attack that you are seeing might be the result of using a profiler in junction with a game that already has controller support.
