Okay i just got Oblivion GOTY and there is a weird thing i have a qaud core and it runs on medium settings.

I was thinking i read somewhere of games using only one core standard so can i set the game to use the three cores at once?

If yes how.

Here are my basic video cards and stuff:

Windows Vista Home Premium(probably 64 bit version)

Intel Core Quad CPU Q9300 @2.50GHz

4,00 GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce GT120

Hope that,ll help.

What's weird? I don't think it's that weird that your integrated graphics card isn't made for gaming. The CPU has nothing to do with it.

A GT120 is comparable to a 8600GT card. It's really low-end.

Pardon my Ignorance but surely he should be able to run it if his card is equivalent to a 8600GT. I rember running Oblivion on High settings with 7800 GTX. Is the 8600GT better than the 7800 GTX ?

A 7800 GTX is better but even thenyou wouldn't be able to play Oblivion on high settings on that card unless you reduce theresolution and disable HDR.

That video card will keep you off the high settings. It's not good enough.

Yeah I ran it on high without HDR and Average resolution. I knew the card wouldnt be good enough for quarls texture pack but man that card was good and the game looked brilliant.
