not sure if this is against the ToS or not but what's a good site that can help a newbie build a computer? I've got about a grand saved up to buy and gaming computer but I have no idea where or how to start. Where's a good place with like a forum with good people that can help me pick good parts for my rig? Or you could help me if you so choose. :b

Pretty sure there's plenty of folks in here that can help you with that. If not, there's always toms hardware.

Thought it would be better to find a site more focused on helping nubs build computers but in case you guys want to help like I said I have about $1000 give or take. I have a 1920x1080 monitor. Obviously I want to be able to play games on high. Go nuts.

I have a keyboard and mouse. The keyboard is just sn HP keyboard that came with my current computer. The mouse is a ball mouse so I'll replace that but later. First I need an actual computer that can ACTUALLY play games. And for an OS I'm guessing Windows 7 seeing as most people are using it?

I found this site that's apparently a "how to build" site. It also lists 3 builds. The mid range one is within my price range what do you guys think of it? http://www.build-gaming-computers.com/gaming-desktop-computer.html
