Right now i have windows xp pro sp2. Whenever I play a video or music my pc freezes up. it did that back before i switched to win7. It didnt do it on wondows 7 though. but this week i switched back to xp and it is doing it again.

Does anybody know how i can fix this.

BTW I jut did a clean install of xp.

Have you installed all the required drivers (mobo, USB, etc)?

Did you update windows and install the new media player? Also, be sure that DirectX and your videocard drivers are up to date...

Well, I tried to beat the system and failed... And i installed all of the drivers too.

Pirate copy? Win7 only cost $100, well worth it, imo.

Yeah i know its only $100. I just didn't want to pay for it on my p4 pc. i was going to when i built my new one.

Isnt XP on sp3? maybe thats it though i doubt it.
