Brand new and built with these componenets for just $399?

-Phenom II X4 840

-4GB DDR3 RAM

-500W PSU

-320GB HDD

-Windows 7 Ultimate

-Microsoft Office Pro 2010

I'm tempted to go ahead and get this, and add a videocard later.

Seems like a good deal, but beware that it is certainly no gaiming rig until you get that video card.

Yes, but it doesn't seem right pairing such a nice card with those extreme budget parts.

get the core i5 2500 build if you can afford it-->http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=401989&Sku=B69-1317

or get this core i3 2100 build if you can't afford the above-->http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=401991&Sku=B69-1318

both are better deals than the x4 810, Both of these builds also come with a built in gfx card as well so you don;t need to worry about it until you purchase a discrete video card.

It's not exactly a steal but you're also not overpaying for anything, so if you're satisfied with the specs go for it

It's pretty budget for a Quad. It's not even a true Phenom II. That, and the very basic motherboard... I mean, generally speaking, you get what you pay for, and if he has the money to throw in a 560, he really should spend more on the rest of the system.

That's what I was thinking. Win7 Ultimate and Office Pro 2010 make the deal seem a bit too good to be true (or legitimate).

I agree with some of the other posters here, that is WAY too good of a deal for $399.

There is probably something fishy about this. Windows Ultimate itself is over $120 or something, so you mean all that hardware costs under $280? It's an amazing deal if it's true (please link me because I would buy this too, haha) but I'm guessing you will be buying a Ferrari with a Honda Civic engine inside. Just saying.
