First off I have a Westinghouse 19" widescreen monitor. It seems to display the black kind of weird it looks like it has blue edges instead of soft smooth dark to light transitions. Any suggestions to make this better or will I have to just buy a new monitor (which I currently don't have the money for).

Thanks

Check out the menu options and see if you can tweak the colors. If you can, mess with the blue and see if it helps. I'm not sure exactly what you're describing, but if your blacks look blue, it's most likely just that the blues are up too high.

Is it connected via DVI or VGA?

Try resetting the factory settings and if it is VGA check the connection at the PC and at the monitor. Also check your computer display settings, make sure those are correct also (reset to factory defaults if you are unsure).

If nothing works you may want to try connecting another monitor to see if the problem persists.

Seems like a driver problem at first, or a bad connection between your video card and your monitor.
