ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B
CORSAIR CWCH60
XIGMATEK Dark Knight II
So these are some of the cpu coolers I've been looking at for an Ivy bridge cpu I'll be getting sometime soon. If ny one knows soom good ones or have any input thated be great.

Hyper 212 has better temps than the h60/70....... Get it for 35 buck + No risk of leak. Make sure your case is wide enough to fit it though.ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B

Ever consider liquid cooling? Im getting a corsair h100. Surprisingly cheap. Even if u dont plan on overclocking cool parts are happy parts. And cold parts are even happier;)

in all honesty thisHyper 212+ EVO would be a better option.
yeah the 212 is an amazing cooler, tc water cooling for most is not needed other than for the ability to say you have it. unless you are doing some serious overclocking that will push the hardware to its absolute limits a non water cooler is for youThe Hyper 212+ is as good as the H70 and is half the price. Now with the H100, you have to make sure your case can support dual slot radiator, and you can get air coolers for $30 or $40 less then a H100 and get nearly the same cooling performance. Also one thing you should watch is that if the WC pump dies you have no cooling for that cpu at all and you will be in serious trouble. At least with an air cooler you can still cool passively if a fan dies.Define serious OC. Would that cooler could handle 4.5+ghz? And would u say theres anything better then the 212? I mean i was getting ready to drop over $100 for a cooler. Im all for saving money but if i can get colder temps ill drop the extra cash.

HAF series was not design specially for the H100 :), they were design to accommodate dual or triple slot radiators,Hmm... quite the conundrum lol. Im getting the Cooler Master HAFx which i believe is actually built for the h100... more or less. Power supply is on the bottom and theres two spaces at the top for the two 120mm fans.

If you want good cooling performance for cheap, get the 212+.
If you want 10% better performance for lots more money, look at some of the high end noctuas.
If you want to spend hundreds of dollers for as good as it gets, look at custom water loops.
Out of those 3 I'd pick the Xigmatek. The Zalman has a non standard fan and I wouldn't get a water cooler, they may perform better in terms of temps but why bother?
I was looking at more of them today and corsair, which i think is a pretty good company, makes one too, it seems pretty good, almost identical to the cooler master one everyone seems to like and same price after rebate
