I went to turn my computer on and nothing happened. My sister had recently broke one of the USB ports at the front of the pc. The power to the PC as a whole is fine, because the monitor is on. Anyone know what could cause this and how to fix it?Bourbons3
The USB ports would not matter in a case of turning on the computer, I would check to see if the PSU is dead.
Their are many reasons why this could happen, check inside the computer too see if everything else is connected properly!

How would I check if the PSU is dead or not?Maybe your sister has broke the power-on button too, try to start the pc manualy.Get a screwdriver and touch with it those two power-on pin on the mobo.Or maybe the PSU is dead:question:dayaccus007
Follow the cable that leads to the power button (you might have to unplug the cable), and then just take a flat head screw driver to jump start your PC (assuming the power button is the problem). To do this all you have to do is place the screw driver inbetween the pins to connect them, I'm not exactly sure which pins need to be connected so just try moving the screw driver around until it starts up. Also you shouldn't have to worry about getting shocked :P I had to jump start a bunch of PCs in my computer class last semester.
edit- before doing anything I said, I would first read your motherboard manual and try other solutions before opening up your computer and tinkering.

If you have one, I would use it. If not just make sure to ground yourself by holding onto any metal part of your case. Although you shouldn't really have to touch anything sensitive enough to really harm anything with static discharge.
