My computer is already protected with AVG but when the Alpha Antivirus thing popped up and said she needed to download to protect our computer....I think the security center is fake? cuz the one in my control panel says we are still protected ( see below ) and I can't uninstall this Alpha Antivirus?/!! Any idea's on how to get rid of this? Thanks in advance

Oh lordy, 2 options. Start run > msconfig > system restore, go back before you installed it. Second, download ccleaner, and delete the uninstall from the regeistry and everything.

The new antivirus you have is actually a virus. It shows fake windows and emits fake alerts. It was on one of my house's computer. After looking a bit around the net, I decided it was too complicated to get rid of, so I chose the easy way.

I formatted and reinstalled Windows !

Reformat means deleting everything on your current partition(probably your whole hard drive in your case) and reinstalling Windows. I am sure this won't re-apear if I'm honest.

Microsoft security essentials isn't better than AVG, though it sure is faster. AVG has gone down a drain, but it still has a higher detection rating. http://www.av-comparatives.org/comparativesreviews/main-tests

Discipline your wife the Englishman's way...

A backhand across the left cheek then the right... Perhaps another for good measure...

In all seriousness, domestic violence isn't something to laugh about.
