[QUOTE="paraskhos_basic"] hi guys well i jt want some advice on the new GPU ishould buy
i have 8800gt and i really love it but i'am stil thinking of upgrading 2 mayb i have 2options
1st is sli but iam doubtfull about the perfrmance it would give on m rig
another qs about sli is that would my coller master extreme PSU be able to take sli its 600W and all my rig is in my sig and as my mobo is P5N -e sli would it be a good choice to sli coz some say this mobo is not great for sli (a expert comments are wecome)
another thing is i can go for 4870x2 but ill it fit in my mobo and run all games maxed and crysis at enthusiast settings in good 30 fps?
or should i wait for better cards?
any advice is welcome

I currently have 2 8800GTS 512MB cards (they're a little better then the 8800GT). I know that my current CPU tends to bottleneck their performance some, but I still see a pretty good increase in performace when I'm running in SLI.
It's been a while since I fired up Crysis (last time I played Crysis was before they patched the game to work better), but here's what I remember from trying out 1 card vs 2 in SLI, running at 1650 x 1080.
1 8800GTS 512MB card: all medium settings, no AA, averaged about 28fps
2 8800GTS 512MB cards in SLI: 50% settings on high, 50% settings on medium, no AA, averaged about 35fps.
If I had a better CPU then my current AMD X2 5600+ (oc'd from 2.8 to 3.01) - something like the Intel E8400 or Q6600, I'd see some better performance from my SLI setup.
Check out the benchmarks (click here) and notice how a good rig with an SLI setup for 8800GTS 512MB cards is 4 spots from the top on Crysis out of the current Nvidia cards out there. I know this is just one benchmark to base my information here off of, but it's the only one I could easily find that had scores for all current cards. You'll see that 2 8800GT 512MB cards in SLI isn't too far below the 8800GTS. For the most part, if you run 2 8800GT cards in SLI, you should generally see as good (if not better) performance then Nvidia's current top card...the 260 GTX I believe it is.
Just some information to keep in mind.
My suggestion would be to run another 8800GT in SLI or if you don't want to run two cards, then wait for the next gen cards to come out.... whenever they're being released.
thnxs the info man i think it would be better if i just wait for better cards i know i can buy a new card but after cing some benchies i think nor sli or current cards do any justice
ill just wait for beter cards
any news on new cards or something?
thnxs again
