Sup guys,

So, I'm about to graduate from High School and my mom asked me what I wanted as a graduation present. Normally it would be a car, but since she just payed off her Mustang, she insisted on letting me have that when I go into the Air Force. But then she asked what I wanted from relatives. I was like "I dont know" and then later thought "hey, how about a good gaming computer." I was wondering if someone here could give me a headsup. How could I get a good gaming rig for a cheap or reasonable price(im open to all price ranges at the moment, just throw them all at me) in the easiest way. Key word "easy". Any help would be great :D

Well building your own is the cheapest way but since your not paying for it get a Dell or Alienware. Make sure you dont pick a 6150 or X1300 lol get a 8600GTS or higher. I think they offer them on some XPS models.

You have a nice mom you know that? :)

Anyways, get something like a C2D of 6420, 2GB of RAM, a nice HDD(this is up to you), an 8800GTS 320mb and a stable mobo. Do up some research first and tell us what parts you're interested in.

Well since he is not buying might as well get a Dell or Alienware ya know? But yes do research! So many people post here about how they got a "gaming PC" with a integrated card or a X1300 and they were dissapointed by its performance so dont be one of those people!

well it depends, i know for my case i'm pretty much getting everything new and its costing 2K taxes included canadian. so in american i think it should be 1600(tax is a **** in canada). you can lower the price by using some stuff from old computer but hey celebrate you going to the army with a completly kick ass computer.

C2D E660, 2 Gb of DDR2 800mgz, geforce 8800 GTS 640mb, 22inch 1680x1150 monitor, 550 watt PSU with 35 amps under 12V. the rest go to newegg.com great prices and you can pick everything you need. mind you i didn't inlcude a mobo and case and CPU fan.
